What Do You Want to Harvest in This Season?

I was reading my devotional when a familiar verse stood out to me in a brand-new way:

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
— Galatians 6:7 (NIV)

I’ve read this verse so many times. I’ve taught it. Quoted it. Believed it.
But that morning, it landed differently. I paused and wrote this question in my journal:

What am I sowing today that will produce the harvest I want tomorrow?

It was a humbling and hopeful moment.

Because the truth is: we are all sowing something.
With our time. With our habits. With our thoughts. With our relationships.
And one day, we’ll harvest what we’ve planted.

The Principle Is Simple—But Powerful

We reap what we sow.

  • Sow peace → reap peace.
  • Sow encouragement → reap connection.
  • Sow discipline → reap progress.
  • Sow negativity → reap discontentment.
  • Sow distraction → reap frustration.

This principle is both convicting and freeing. Because while we can’t always control our circumstances, we do get to choose what we sow.

What Do You Want to Reap?

Pause for a moment and ask yourself:

  • What do I want my life to look and feel like in the next 3, 6, or 12 months?
  • What kind of woman do I want to be becoming?
  • What kind of relationships, health, business, or spiritual life do I want to harvest?

Then, go one step further…

What Do You Need to Sow to Get There?

If you want to reap confidence, you may need to sow consistency.
If you want to reap peace, you may need to sow boundaries or rest.
If you want to reap growth, you may need to sow discipline, time, or investment.

This isn’t about adding pressure—it’s about stepping into partnership with God.
We sow in faith. We water with prayer. And God brings the growth in His perfect timing.

A Reflection Exercise for This Week

Grab your journal and reflect on these two simple but powerful prompts:

  1. What do I want to reap in this next season of life?
  2. What habits, mindsets, or rhythms do I need to start sowing today?

Let it be a sacred moment to realign and refocus.

Because what you’re planting now is shaping the harvest that’s coming.

A Gentle Encouragement

If you don’t like what you’re reaping—it’s okay. There’s grace.
And there’s always time to plant something new.

God is a Redeemer, a Restorer, and a Master Gardener.
He can bring beauty out of barren places—and joy out of small seeds.

So plant in faith. Sow with purpose. And trust that what you nurture now will grow in due time.
