Have you ever caught a glimpse of the woman you want to be—the one who walks with confidence, speaks life over others, lives with purpose, and radiates peace no matter what season she’s in?

Maybe you’ve seen her in your dreams, your journal entries, or the quiet longings of your heart.

That woman?
She’s not just a fantasy.
She’s you, becoming.

Becoming Is a Process, Not a Performance

In a world obsessed with instant results, “becoming” can feel frustratingly slow. But the truth is: God grows us over time. He’s not rushing you. He’s forming you.

You’re not behind.
You’re in process.
And every season—even the messy ones—is part of how He’s shaping you into the woman He designed you to be.

Scripture reminds us:

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Who Is “Her” for You?

Take a moment and ask yourself:

  • Who is the woman I’m becoming?
  • What does her life look and feel like?
  • What fruit does she carry—peace, patience, faith, confidence?

She may not be fully visible in your current reflection, but the seeds are already there. And with God, those seeds will grow.

5 Faith-Filled Steps to Becoming Her

1. Seek God First

Becoming the woman God created you to be starts with intimacy, not hustle. It’s not about doing more—it’s about drawing close.

Ask daily:

“Lord, who are You forming me into? Help me become her.”

2. Shed the Lies

To become her, you’ll need to release the false beliefs that say you’re not enough, too much, or too late.

Renew your mind with truth. Speak this over yourself:

“I am who God says I am. Nothing more. Nothing less. And that’s more than enough.”

3. Build Habits That Align

She’s not formed by wishful thinking—she’s formed by faith-fueled action.

  • What daily rhythms does she live by?
  • What does her time with God look like?
  • How does she steward her gifts, energy, and time?

Start small. Begin today.

4. Surround Yourself With Community

Becoming her is hard to do alone. We all need people who will remind us of who we’re becoming when we forget.

Find or cultivate a life-giving circle of women who speak truth, celebrate progress, and hold space for growth. (If you’re looking for that kind of space, the Dreamer Community is a great place to begin.)

5. Celebrate Progress, Not Perfection

Perfection isn’t the goal—faithful progress is.

Celebrate the days you prayed instead of panicked.
Celebrate the moments you responded with grace instead of control.
Celebrate the tiny choices that aligned with your purpose.

God sees it all—and He delights in your growth.

You’re Becoming Her—Right Now

Even on the days when it feels like nothing is changing…
Even when your growth feels slow or unseen…
Even when you feel far from who you want to be…

You are becoming.

And the One who started this good work in you?
He’s not done yet.
